Fuller, J[ohn] F[rederick] C[harles] J.F.C.フラー (1878-1965) 魔法名　Per Ardua ad Astra (A.A.) "through hardships to the stars" (Fuller family mottoe) 　　　 　　Non Sine Fulmine (A.A.) ☆　クロウリーの初期の弟子にして英国陸軍士官。後に少将。 　クロウリーは1905年から1907年にかけて三巻の作品集を出した際に、自腹を切って100ポンドの懸賞金をつけ、自分に関する論文を募集しており、その一等賞に輝いたのが当時オクスフォードシャー第一軽歩兵連隊付きの大尉であったフラーである。この論文は『西洋の星』と題されて出版されている。 　フラーはクロウリーの熱烈な信奉者となり、A.A.の主要メンバーとして機関誌『春秋分点』の編集に携わっていたが、1910年のジョーンズ対『ルッキング・グラス』紙裁判の際にクロウリーと縁を切っている。この裁判のためにクロウリーの同性愛傾向が世間の知るところとなり、軍人としての経歴に傷がつくのを恐れたからである。 　軍人としてのフラーは、まず１９００年、ボーア戦争に出征して腸チフスにかかり、後方に送還されている。１次大戦にあっては英軍戦車部隊の主任参謀として辣腕を振るっている。かれが先鞭をつけた戦車による電撃進攻作戦は英軍では受け入れらず、むしろドイツ陸軍に採用されている。このためフラーは心情的にドイツおよび当時ドイツを支配していたナチス党に親近感を抱くようになった。 　１９３０年代には英国の国家社会主義党に入党し、極右雑誌や新聞に次々と記事を発表。親独派の軍事ジャーナリストとしてヒトラーの５０歳誕生パーティーに招かれるなど、世間的にも目立つ存在となっている。 　無論、積極的な反英ではなく、陸軍大学で戦車戦の講座を持つなどしており、そのため２次大戦勃発後も収容所送りを免れている。 　戦後も活発な執筆活動を続け、１９６５年に死去している。
