Clymer, R[euben] Swinburne R.スウィンバーン・クライマー ☆　米国の“薔薇十字”関係者。H.スペンサー・ルイスが主宰する AMORC 相手の喧嘩で有名。 　19世紀末米国の性魔術的薔薇十字団の教祖 P.B.ランドルフの流れを汲む Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis という団体の主宰者であり、1920年代にペンシルヴァニアで活動を開始している。その他、多くの団体を創立しており、The Sons of Isis and Osiris, The College of the Holy Grail などが挙げられる。 　“薔薇十字”関係者の一般的特徴はその唯我独尊性にあり、他の薔薇十字標榜者はなんであれ不倶戴天の敵とみなすのである。ゆえに1925年に同じ商売をフロリダ（2年後にカリフォルニアに移転）で始めたルイスをありとあらゆる手段で攻撃して残りの人生を過ごしている。 　クライマー対ルイスの喧嘩は文書による中傷合戦から法廷闘争にまで発展して、傍観者にとっては最高に面白い見世物となっている。
